Mr. Nobutaka Ide, CEO of Wacom along with ABAI, met with the Department of E IT and BT.
The meeting was Chaired by Hon’ble Minister Shri Priyank Kharge and Secretary Dr. Ekroop Caur to discuss possible partnership with Govt of Karnataka which could drive innovation, creativity, and economic growth in the state.
Government of Karnataka and Wacom together explored future collaborations which centered around skilling, innovation, and the ESDM ecosystem.
With Wacom being known for its digital devices and tablets, the department recognized their potential involvement in:
1.Partnering for skilling initiatives in Digital India, in particular – Karnataka.
2.Supporting our staff and digital tech enterprises with new device technologies.
3.Exploring local production possibilities with the state and PLI support.
4.Utilising local engineering talent for global R&D scaling.
